Local Support Helps Tech Company Sedgwick Grow

Sedgwick, a global provider of technology-enabled risk and benefits solutions, is expanding in Hilliard, making it one of the city's five largest employers. The company credits its relationship with regional and local entities for helping with business solutions that contributed to its growth.

"We value the strong relationships we've built with the city of Hilliard and across the Columbus region and are excited about the ongoing growth of our presence in the area," said Marwan Shiblaq, Sedgwick managing director in Central Ohio.

Sedgwick has announced plans to expand operations at its existing Hilliard location to accommodate the rapid growth of its client base. The company currently has 300 employees in Hilliard, 450 in Dublin, 213 in New Albany and 50 in Worthington. This expansion will create more than 100 jobs, bringing the number of employees in the Columbus Region to over 1,000.

"Along with Columbus 2020, we are excited that more than 100 new colleagues will provide claims management solutions for Sedgwick's customers throughout the country."
