Invacare launched a new product to address the rising global demand for respiratory equipment. The company needs to enhance its manufacturing capabilities to produce the Platinum NXG, a new stationary oxygen concentrator.

Why Ohio?

The global manufacturer and distributor of medical equipment plans to grow at its Elyria headquarters. In its existing facility, the company will build a 10,000 square-foot clean room, a controlled environment with a low level of pollutants.

Invacare cited talent and a business-friendly environment as a reason for choosing Ohio for its expansion. Ohio’s manufacturing talent has the skills to produce the Platinum NXG, while healthcare professionals can continue to oversee design and production.

The company is also evaluating other opportunities which are anticipated to result in approximately 100 additional jobs in its Elyria/North Ridgeville campus over the next three years.
