Cleveland Airport Announces Nonstops to Ireland in 2023
JobsOhio, along with partners Team NEO, Greater Cleveland Partnership, Destination Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, and the City of Cleveland, is pleased to announce Cleveland Hopkins International Airport will offer nonstop flights from Cleveland to Dublin, Ireland on Aer Lingus, starting May 19, 2023.
The airline will offer four weekly flights with seamless connections to more than 20 European destinations, providing more opportunities for Ohioans to see the world.
Aer Lingus’ service will bring an estimated $85 million economic impact over the first three years, by providing nonstop flights to Dublin, Ireland – the only airport in Europe operating a U.S. Customs preclearance checkpoint – which will open opportunities for county residents to conveniently travel to dozens of international destinations.
JobsOhio was instrumental in securing this new route with the JobsOhio Air Service Restoration Program, which was established in 2020 to provide Ohio’s commercial airports the opportunity to work collaboratively through public and private partnerships to retain and restore air service opportunities for economic development.
