Honda to Invest in Ohio for Electric Vehicle Production, Including New Battery Plant with LG Energy
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Lt. Governor Jon Husted, and JobsOhio leaders announced that Honda and LG Energy Solution (LGES) will build a new electric vehicle (EV) battery plant in Fayette County, creating 2,200 jobs and a commitment to invest $3.5 billion.
Honda also announced its commitment to invest $700 million and create 327 jobs to retool three of its existing factories in Union, Logan, and Shelby counties for EV production.
