UNITED GRINDING Positioned for Major Advanced Manufacturing Growth in Ohio

UNITED GRINDING’s new North American headquarters in Miamisburg, Ohio, has been officially opened only since November of 2017, yet company leaders are already seeing opportunities for manufacturing growth in Ohio.

UNITED GRINDING, based in Switzerland, is a grinding and ultraprecision finishing solution provider for the manufacturing industry. It consolidated its Ohio and Virginia operations into the new 110,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility. The building brings together the company’s Cylindrical, Tool, Surface and Profile grinding business units with its Automation and Rebuilding teams from previously separate buildings.

“UNITED GRINDING North America has observed and experienced a passion for creating a solid manufacturing base here in Ohio,” said Rodger Pinney, vice chairman of UNITED GRINDING’s board of directors. “UNITED GRINDING North America is also growing in Ohio because we have access to an exceptional workforce who are culturally dedicated and committed to doing their part in ensuring the company’s success. Bottom line, UNITED GRINDING North America is growing because we have “Made Ohio Home!”

According to UNITED GRINDING’s leadership, the new headquarters location will boost operational agility and expand numerous manufacturing offerings in the North American market, an advantage Ohio’s infrastructure offers manufacturing companies.

JobsOhio collaborated with the Dayton Development Coalition as well as local and state economic development partners to provide UNITED GRINDING with community project and incentive resources. The new headquarters is expected to add 40 new jobs to its existing workforce of 104.
