2018 Honda Accord Recognized as Car of the Year
Made in Ohio, the 2018 Honda Accord showcases automotive excellence
Ohio continues to be a home to nationally recognized automotive excellence.
Honda’s 2018 Accord, which is proudly made in Marysville, Ohio, has been named the 2018 North American Car of the Year by 60 North American professional automotive journalists. This prestigious award – from the annual North American Car, Utility and Truck of the Year awards – is given to vehicles showing the best in innovation, design, safety, performance, technology, driver satisfaction and value.
On the outside, the new Honda Accord is sleek and classic, made of lighter materials and with a more rigid body structure. Inside, the 2018 Honda Accord is spacious and comfortable. The car is powered by two all-new, high-torque VTEC® Turbo engines, the world’s first front-wheel drive, 10-speed automatic transmission and an evolved Honda two-motor hybrid technology. To top it off, the Honda Accord is built with driver-assist and connected-car technologies.
"Honda took a clean-sheet approach to reinventing America's most popular car, and we couldn't be prouder to receive this honor for the Honda Accord as the North American Car of the Year," said Henio Arcangeli, Jr., senior vice president of the Automobile Division and general manager of Honda Sales, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "We're especially proud for the production associates in Ohio where Accord has been built to the highest quality standards for over 35 years."
Since 1982, the Honda Accord model has been made in Marysville and has become one of America’s most beloved cars.
